Every load. Every mile. Delivered.
Godman Trucking is an open-deck carrier moving oversize, overweight and hard-to-handle freight across Canada and the United States — with permitting, pilot cars and route planning handled in-house.

Open deck is not a sideline for us. It is the whole business.
One fleet built around one job: moving freight that will not fit in a dry van. Steel, machinery, modular sections and heavy iron — loaded from the side, the top, or driven straight on.
Open deck is all we do
Not a van carrier that keeps a few flatbeds around. Every truck and trailer we own, and all the securement gear on them, is pointed at one kind of freight.
Securement done properly
Chains, straps, tarps and edge protection carried on the truck, and load securement photographed before the wheels turn.
One point of contact
The person who quotes your load is the person who tracks it to the receiver. You get a direct line, not a ticket number.
Fully insured
General liability and cargo coverage in force. A certificate of insurance is available on request before you book.

Deck profile · RGN
The gooseneck detaches so tracked equipment loads under its own power.
Three configurations. Everything that will not fit a van.
Pick the deck that matches the freight — or send us the dimensions and we will tell you which one it needs.

From dimensions to signed POD.
Four steps, one coordinator, and no part of the process where you have to chase us for an update.
- 01
Send us the load
Dimensions, weight, pickup and delivery. A photo of the piece is worth more than a spec sheet — send it and we will tell you what it takes to move it.
- 02
Quote and route plan
You get a rate, the trailer configuration we would use, and any permit or escort requirements identified up front rather than added later.
- 03
Dispatch and secure
Driver and equipment assigned, permits pulled and your pickup window confirmed. Load securement is photographed before departure.
- 04
Track to the receiver
Updates while the load is moving and a signed proof of delivery once it lands — without you having to chase for either.
The work that happens before the wheels turn.
Open-deck freight is only half equipment. The rest is permits, routing, and knowing what a load will actually clear.
Oversize & Overweight Permitting
State authorizations pulled, pilot cars booked and bridge restrictions cleared before the truck ever loads.
Route Planning & Surveys
Height, weight and curfew restrictions checked against the route so the load does not meet a surprise at 2 AM.
Project & Multi-Load Freight
Staged delivery windows and a single point of contact for builds that need several trailers arriving in the right order.
Direct Dispatch
You deal with the person handling your load, not a ticket queue — with tracking and updates before you have to ask.
The things shippers ask us first.
We run Canada and the United States, including cross-border freight in both directions. Send us the pickup and delivery and we will tell you straight away whether it is a lane we can cover.
Have a load that needs an open deck?
Send us the dimensions, the weight and where it is going. Standard loads are quoted within two hours during business hours.
