Built around freight that will not fit in a box.
One kind of trailer fleet, done properly. Here is who we are, how we work, and what to expect when you hand us a load.
One fleet, one specialty, no distractions.
Godman Trucking has been running since 2021, built on a simple observation: carriers who are good at dry van freight are rarely good at anything that has to be chained down. Open deck asks different questions — how does it load, what does it weigh across the axles, what will it clear, and who signs the permit.
Today that is 5 trucks and 5 trailers running Canada and the United States, including cross-border freight in both directions. Small enough that the person who quotes your load is the person tracking it; equipped enough to handle what a van carrier turns down.
So the whole operation points at one kind of work. Flatbeds for freight that loads from any side, step decks for anything too tall to go legal on a flatbed, and removable goosenecks that put heavy equipment on a deck low enough to drive straight onto.
The other half of the job is paperwork. Oversize permits, pilot cars, curfew windows and clearance restrictions all live on our side of the phone. You send dimensions; we come back with a number that already accounts for them.

Not sure which deck your load needs? Send the dimensions and we will tell you — or call Ramanpreet Singh on +1 (929) 343-9819.
Four things we will not trade away.
Safety is not a slide deck
Documented pre-trip inspections and photographed securement on every load. A load that is not right does not leave the yard.
Say the hard thing early
If a delivery window is not realistic, you hear it while you can still plan around it — not at 4 PM on the day it was due.
Own the whole route
Permits, escorts and clearance restrictions are ours to solve. You should never have to phone a permit office on our behalf.
Treat drivers properly
Good open-deck drivers are the entire product. Fair settlements, maintained equipment, and securement gear supplied rather than billed back.
What working with us actually looks like.
Open deck is all we do
Not a van carrier that keeps a few flatbeds around. Every truck and trailer we own, and all the securement gear on them, is pointed at one kind of freight.
Securement done properly
Chains, straps, tarps and edge protection carried on the truck, and load securement photographed before the wheels turn.
One point of contact
The person who quotes your load is the person who tracks it to the receiver. You get a direct line, not a ticket number.
Fully insured
General liability and cargo coverage in force. A certificate of insurance is available on request before you book.
Have a load that needs an open deck?
