Godman Trucking (“we”, “us”, “our”) is an open-deck freight carrier. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website.

It applies to this website only. It does not cover information you give us in the course of a signed transportation contract, which is governed by that agreement.

We only collect information you choose to give us. Specifically:

When you request a quote

• Your name, and your company name if you provide one
• Your email address and, optionally, your phone number
• Details of the load — equipment type, pickup and delivery locations, dimensions, weight, target date and any description you add

When you send a message

• Your name, email address, and optionally your company and phone number
• The subject you select and the content of your message

When you apply to drive

• Your name, phone number and email address
• Your general location, licence class, years of open-deck experience and whether you are applying as a company driver or owner-operator
• Anything else you write in the notes field

We do not ask for, and you should not send us, your Social Security number, driver’s licence number, date of birth, bank details or payment card details through this website. Those are collected later in the hiring or onboarding process, through appropriate channels.

• To price and respond to your freight enquiry
• To contact you about a load, a quote or a question you raised
• To assess a driver application and follow up with you about it
• To keep records of enquiries and applications for our own operational and legal purposes

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.

Where data protection law requires us to identify a legal basis, we rely on the following: your consent, given when you submit a form; our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and operating our business; and taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.

We share personal information only where it is necessary:

• With service providers who host this website and deliver our email, acting on our instructions
• With a shipper, broker, consignee or permitting authority where that is required to carry out the move you asked us to quote
• Where we are required to by law, regulation, subpoena or a government or transport authority
• With professional advisers such as accountants, insurers or lawyers where necessary

We keep enquiry and quote records for as long as needed to serve you and to meet our legal, tax and insurance obligations. Driver applications are kept for as long as necessary to consider you for a current or future role. If you ask us to delete your information and we are not required to keep it, we will.

This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies, and it does not run advertising scripts. Nothing you do here is used to follow you across other websites, and nothing is sold or shared with advertisers.

We do use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages get read. It is a privacy-focused, cookieless analytics tool: it sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and cannot follow you to other websites.

It records aggregate, non-identifying information about each page view:

• The page visited and the referring page, if any
• Approximate country or region, derived from your IP address
• Device type, operating system and browser

Your IP address is not stored. It is combined with your browser details into a one-way hash that is discarded and regenerated daily, so repeat visits cannot be linked back to you over time or across sites. We cannot identify an individual visitor from this data, and we use it only to understand which parts of the site are useful.

Vercel also hosts this website, and as our hosting provider may keep standard server logs — including IP address, browser type and pages requested — for security and reliability purposes.

If we ever add analytics or tracking that is not cookieless, or that could identify you individually, we will update this policy before turning it on.

This site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and form submissions are transmitted encrypted. We limit access to submitted information to the people who need it to do their job.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive personal or financial details through the forms on this site.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us to do the following, free of charge:

• Tell you what personal information we hold about you and provide a copy
• Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
• Delete your information, where we are not required to keep it
• Restrict or object to how we use it
• Withdraw consent you previously gave, without affecting what we did before you withdrew it

California residents have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights. As stated above, we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.

This website is intended for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy as our business or the law changes. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date. Material changes will be made clear.
